APSA (Association for Promoting Social Action), based in the Indian cities of Bengaluru (Bangalore) and Hyderabad, is a charitable organization focused on preventing the exploitation and marginalization of the underprivileged urban poor, especially women and children of migrant families.  APSA runs several residential and other homes and shelters for street children, children in distress, victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, as well as a school for children, hostels for young women pursuing education and jobs, and skills training programs.

FAEE is working with APSA to provide higher education scholarships to select young women who have been in their care, and who have shown an interest in academics and a desire to work hard and succeed.  We are deeply struck by the heart-rending stories of these young women and are excited to be able to turn their dreams into reality.
